Roy Raymond Story began when he was just a regular guy with a Stanford MBA who wanted to buy some lingerie for his wife. However, it wasn’t as comfortable as he wanted it to be. It was during the Victorian times when a man entered a lingerie store, got frowned up and looked at like a pervert because it was quite rare at the time to have a man shopping for lingerie. But this experience, unknown to anyone back then, became Roy Raymond’s secret for Victoria’s Secret. From there, the Roy Raymond Story has started filling in the pages.
The Victoria’s Secret founder Roy Raymond, birthed out the great idea for a high-end place where men could shop easily for sexy lingerie with a decent level of privacy. Raymond knew from the beginning that there were lots of women out there who wanted quality lingerie but couldn’t afford it – so he set up shop just outside Stanford University to cater to college students on a budget.
However, a few years after the foundation of Victoria’s Secret, Roy revealed his company is having issues. It wasn’t working well with the target market so, without so much choice Roy Raymond sold Victoria’s Secret to a friend.
