Komal Shah is the Founder & Creative Director of women’s apparel brand called Label.KomalShah.
They create apparel that is ethically produced , is sweatshop free, and build a market for the Indian Artists and their Art.
Komal comes from a small village called Patan in Gujarat, India & having seen the world’s most complex weaved saree, the Patola saree being woven by the weavers of the village since a young age has inspired her in more ways than one and thus her brand brings to life exclusively handcrafted designs from the rich and diverse heritage of India.
She works closely with local artisans and weavers across the country to bring to light little known Indian art forms in a modern context.
The brand is committed to the fair production of their clothing item and the end of it’s life to be a part of the circular economy.
The brand’s vision is to bring organic and sustainable wear to every individual without breaking the bank.
