Celebrated and renowned designer duo and couturiers Shyamal and Bhumika present Wonderland at Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Resort 2018. Wonderland is a collection of enthralling elements in gorgeous hues and intricate embroidery making its debut on the Lakme Fashion Week runway. Bollywood superstar Kangana Ranaut walked as showstopper and fairytale muse for the couturiers as they unveiled the stunning new collection.
For this collection, Shyamal and Bhumika seek inspiration from a mystical Wonderland. As flowers bloom in this Wonderland, they weave tales of the glorious love that has left everyone spellbound for time immemorial. The dawn breaks over the horizon as their muse dances in the lush meadows. The magnificent mountains protect her while the sun basks in her glory. The nightingales whisper about her beauty and the butterflies flutter to wrap her in a rainbow.
The couturiers’ depiction of a picture-perfect fairy-tale wedding has been brought to life through expertly crafted couture with delicate embroideries. Numerous beads, crystals, pearls have been sewed on tulle and hand-woven silks in gorgeous pastel shades to deliver a dizzy array of a classic line of occasion wear that is reminiscent of a modern day a la mode. A rendezvous with her has evoked in them, intangible feelings of love.
