From Schiaparelli’s out of this world collection to Charlotte Casiraghi opening the Chanel show on horseback, Dior’s ode to embroidery, and Valentino’s celebration of the female form, there was a lot to love from the haute couture spring/summer 2022 catwalk shows.
The schedule, which also saw the latest couture collections from Elie Saab, Giambattista Valli and Jean Paul Gaultier, featured more than a few breathtaking gowns that we expect to see gracing the red carpet over the next couple of months.
It marked one of the most exciting moments on the fashion calendar that we’ve experienced in a long while. Although the Covid-19 pandemic continues to cause disruptions for designers and we did see some digital-first presentations, there were more physical shows than we have had on the agenda for a while, and plenty of international editors and influencers were in Paris to take in the collections on the front row.
