Fashion Design Council of India and Lakmé Fashion Week present Ak-Ok
Ak-Ok’s collection consists of white cottons, prints in silk, and handmade shiboris, with the peeping in of pieces of denim casually. Uneven hems, the use of soft fabric manipulations in chiffon, and embroidery in various forms make the collection almost intangible. The use of 3D floral shapes, fluidity in tailoring, contrasting with structure sometimes, appearances of yellows and reds, and the use of black, indigo and emerald, keeps the colour palette surprising. From draped dresses to pajama sets, the collection features innovative ways of draping with a splash of colours on fluid silhouettes.
