At 1 p.m. on March 18, BONBOM’s 2022 Winter 22 collection will be released through the opening show stage of Seoul Fashion Week- held offline for the first time in three years at the Seoul Museum of Craft Art. As BONBOM\u2019s first fashion week debut, it will show the brand’s unique identity and DNA along with the season\u2019s theme.
\nThe two factors that impressed a designer in the early days of BONBOM is the core inspiration of BONBOM\u2019s Winter 22 collection \u201cThis is the way that we love it\u2019s forever\u201d. The first is Zoot suit, one of the sub-cultures in the United States in the 1930s, and the other is Sukeban, one of the Japanese cultures in the 1970s. The history and feature of Zoot suit stands against the national policy of saving materials during the U.S. economic crisis. In support of its stance, people wear high-waist, large-tuck wide-fit pants, and long jackets and coats with thick shoulder pads that use a large amount of fabric. Sukeban- a word that stands for female delinquent youths in Japan, is represented in fashion by sailor-collar school uniform and a long skirt with pleats. Based on the clothes that they wear, the way they dressed themselves, and the attitude toward the clothes they were wearing, BONBOM reinterpreted the rebellion and the freedom into futuristic and sensual teenager school look.<\/p>\n
