Today is episode 1 of my esthetician-education series! I wanted to go back to the basics and talk quickly about skin types! I feel like one of the most common mistakes I&#8217;ve come across is people using the wrong product for their skin type or mistaking their type for their skin concerns! In my new series, I will be diving deeper into my professional skincare knowledge and sharing as much as possible so you can learn the best way to care for your complexion! I am excited to teach you all I have learned from being in the beauty industry for the last decade! Below I have also listed some suggested skincare routines per your skin type! Cleanse- Creamy hydrating cleanser in AM &#038;  if not prone to breakouts a cleansing oil in PM (Main ingredients: Glycerin, Hyaluronic acid, Jojoba oil, Argan, Grapeseed)<br \/>\n2. Exfoliate- Gel exfoliant to use 1-2x a week<br \/>\n(Main ingredients: Lactic or glycolic acid)<br \/>\n3. Essence in PM {preps the skin to effectively absorb subsequent products}<br \/>\n4. Serum in the AM and an Oil in the PM<br \/>\n{Main ingredients: Neem, Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin c, Seabuckthorn oil}<br \/>\n5. Moisturizer- Heavier hydrating moisturizer can be used AM &#038; PM or just PM depending on dryness level (Main ingredients: Shea butter, Ceramides, HA, Sunflower seed)<br \/>\n6. Eye cream at night<br \/>\n7. SPF Daily <\/p>\n<p>Oily Skin:<br \/>\n1. Cleanse- Gel-based cleanser AM &#038; PM<br \/>\n{Main ingredients: BHA&#8217;s, Salicylic acid, Tea tree oil, or Kaolin Clay}<br \/>\n2. Exfoliate: Physical or Chemical exfoliant 1-2x per week<br \/>\n{Main ingredients: AHA &#038; BHA solutions or gentle Microderm polishes}<br \/>\n3. Toner: PM<br \/>\n(Main ingredients: Salicylic acid {if acne prone}<br \/>\n4. Mask- 1-2x a week {optional}<br \/>\n(Main ingredients: Bentonite clay {- highly suggested} Algae, Irish Moss)<br \/>\n5. Moisturizer- Light gel or water-based moisturizer to balance the skin<br \/>\n(Main ingredients: Probiotics, HA, Vitamin B6 &#038; C, Allantoin)<br \/>\n6. Eye cream at night<br \/>\n7. SPF Daily <\/p>\n<p>Combination Skin:<br \/>\n1. Cleanse- Creamy cleanser in the AM &#038; Gel\/exfoliating cleanser in PM<br \/>\n{Main ingredients: HA, Ceramides, Vitamin C, Vitamin E}<br \/>\n 2. Exfoliant- 1-2x a week. Gel or physical exfoliant {Polish suggested}<br \/>\nMain ingredients: AHA &#038; BHA (glycolic, lactic, or if prone to breakouts try salicylic)<br \/>\n 3. Serum- Gel-based {Main ingredients: Ferulic acid, HA, peptides}<br \/>\n 4. Moisturizer &#8211; lightweight (Main ingredients: Shea butter, Peptides, Niacinamide, Vitamin E, Capric triglyceride)<br \/>\n5. Eye cream at night<br \/>\n6. SPF Daily <\/p>\n<p>Sensitive Skin:<br \/>\nMicellar waters are gentle for removing makeup<br \/>\n1. Cleanse- Creamy soothing cleanser in PM<br \/>\n{Main ingredients- Aloe, Green tea, soy, marshmallow extract}<br \/>\n2. Toner\/mist- Use as needed<br \/>\n{Main ingredients- no alcohol, Rose water, cucumber water}<br \/>\nPS. Exfoliation- Lactic is the most gentle chemical exfoliant &#038; can be used on sensitive skin<br \/>\n3. Serum or Cream &#8211; depending on dryness AM &#038; PM<br \/>\n{Main ingredients- Mandelic acid, Green tea, Aloe, HA, chamomile}<br \/>\n4. Soothing Mask- 1x a week<br \/>\n{Main ingredients- Squalane, Oat, Jojoba, Calendula}<br \/>\n5. Eye cream at night<br \/>\n6. SPF Daily <\/p>\n<p>Normal Skin:<br \/>\nThe rarest type but it still needs to be maintained with nourishing skincare!<br \/>\n1. Cleanse- Gel cleanser in AM &#038; creamy cleanser in the PM<br \/>\n2. Exfoliate- 1-2x time per week {AHA&#8217;s or BHA&#8217;s}<br \/>\n3. Serum- AM &#038; PM {Vitamin C {night}, Antioxidants, Peptides, Stem cells}<br \/>\n4. Moisturizer- AM &#038; PM {depending on dryness}<br \/>\n5.. Retinol {25+}<br \/>\n6.. Toner &#8211; PM when needed<br \/>\n7. Eye cream at night<br \/>\n8.
