(13 Mar 2016) 9TH FASHION WEEK TAKES LAHORE BY STORM
Lahore has just become a little bit more fashionable.
The 9th season of Fashion Week just started its run Thursday and brought together a selection of established designers and new talent.
Last day of the event was no exception.
Veteran designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin showcased his brand of traditional meets modern on Sunday (13MARCH2016)
“This collection is all about redefining your self and making yourself into an individual so its inspiration was all over the world and we are so excited to be doing this,” he said adding
“But more than that it was also a platform to be able to introduce new talent.”
Fashion journalist Wajahat Saeed Khan was excited about all the new brands, but warned that more needed to be done to promote Pakistani designers abroad.
“There is potential you see it internally, to see brands like Khaadi Khaas become national sensation that break into India but I don’t really foresee a massive international market-grabbing groundbreaking move unless of course something major happens in terms of our export promotion strategy.”
The event runs until Sunday.
